According to recent reports from Goal correspondent Charles Watt, Arsenal’s out-of-favour defender is close to completing a loan move to French club Nice.
The French defender joined Arsenal from Saint-Etienne in a deal worth around £27milliion in the summer of 2019 but was sent back to the French club on a season long loan.
The 19-year-old later joined up with his new Arsenal teammate last summer and has failed to make a single appearance since joining.
And now according to Charles Watt, the Frenchman is linked with a loan move back to France for the rest of the season with no option to buy.
Saliba is joining Nice on loan. No option to buy, Arsenal still very much see him as part of their future.

Arsenal are hoping Saliba starts playing regular first team football again hence the loan move.
Nice have reportedly reached an agreement with arsenal over terms of the loan move, as the report further states that the French club will pay Saliba’s wages in full.
Saliba is set to undergo medicals at Nice today ahead of his loan move to the Ligue 1 club.
An announcement is also expected to be made by both clubs today or latest tomorrow if medicals are passed.
Arsenal fans will be happy with this development as it shows Saliba will still remain at the club despite the rough patch.
