World cup qualifier clash involving Brazil and Argentina was abandoned as a result of Covid-19 policy enacted by the Brazilian government which saw law enforcement agencies arrest four Argentines who played for English based clubs.
Several Brazilians who play in England were unable to represent their country due to the fact that South American countries are present in the UK’s red list for Covid-19 affected areas. As a result of this, players like Firmino, Alisson Becker and Fabinho to mention a few were unable to represent Brazil.
This led to Brazil taking action against Argentina who managed to call up players like Buendia, Romero, Lo Celso and Aston Villa’s goalkeeper Martinez who all came from English based clubs.
However, it has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to fine Romero, Lo Celso and also Davinson Sanchez who all went against the club’s instructions by going to participate for their country.
Following the abandonment of the match, Lionel Messi was seen pulling off a jaw-dropping penalty technique during training as seen in the video below.
