The Premier League match which had Chelsea up against West Bromwich ended in a 2-5 win in favour of The Baggies at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea Boss Thomas Tuchel feels the Blues side were not sharp enough to convert various early assists to goals against West Brom.
For the first time under Tuchel, the Blues lost 2-5 in the match, leaving 3 solid points to the Baggies.
Despite taking the lead in the first 30 minutes of the game, the second yellow card is shown to Thiago Silva which turned out a red card and he is sent off.
The coach felt the players could not adapt to play the 10-man game and the defence wall was too weak and made penetration easy.
“We were not sharp enough and we didn’t catch the momentum to be sharper, to be closer and to be more aggressive.”
“Individually, our defending was not at the level we have become used to from the guys and we need to improve in that sense.” – Tuchel
Chelsea will now face Porto FC in the Champions league quarter-final on Wednesday.
