Chelsea suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Juventus last courtesy of a Federico Chiesa strike that came just few seconds after the restart.
The result means the Blues have suffered back to back losses for the first time this season and Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has expressed his disappointment.
Tuchel: “Disappointed, we all were. It was a tough game that we expected and it is never easy to score against teams like Juventus. You have to be patient, play with zero mistakes.”
Tuchel: “You have to be clever, high rhythm and decision making. I felt us yesterday totally sharp and ready, today it was not like this. I don’t know why.”
Thomas Tuchel also spoke about his team’s inability to take chances as the German feels that cost them the game against Juventus.
Tuchel: “We could have been 1-0 up but this was the problem. Man City socred from a set piece with a deflected shot and sometimes this happens with a team that defends so deep.”
Tuchel: “I felt us slow, tired, mentally slow with our decision making.”
All attention would now turn to Saturday’s game against Southampton for the Blues as Thomas Tuchel’s charges would be looking to avoid 3 straight losses and maintain the early season title charge.
