Thomas Tuchel ‘pledge on the Champions League final against Man City’

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel relieved yesterday after the Blues conquered their rivals; Real Madrid 2-0 (AGG: 3-1) in the second leg semi-final fixture at Stamford Bridge.

However, Thomas Tuchel pledges that “Chelsea will arrive in Istanbul to win Champions League”. Tuchel said Chelsea are confident of beating Manchester City after they set up an all-English Champions League final with an accomplished 3-1 aggregate victory against Real Madrid.

The Blues who could end the season with two trophies, are 90′ minutes from the European glory after goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount bid Madrid farewell at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel feels his team will take belief from winning their FA Cup final against Brendan Rogers foxes (Leicester City) on 15 May and Pep Guardiola’s side in the Champions League final on 29 May at Istanbul.

“It gives us a good feeling, it gives us self-confidence,” Tuchel said.

“We have these huge challenges in Premier League. We came out of it very strongly, so we will arrive with confidence and a positive energy in Istanbul, hopefully with no injured players. We will arrive in Istanbul to win, not to be one of the participants.”

Chelsea have been outstanding since appointing Tuchel in January. They have risen to fourth in the Premier League and they outplayed a feeble Madrid sending them to the finals.
