Before the draw, every fan base of the teams remaining in the Champions League prayed their team will get drawn with Porto, as they’re seen as the weakest remaining club in the competition.
Luckily for Chelsea, they were drawn against Porto in the quarter finals and will play either Liverpool or Madrid if they can knock out Porto.
In an interview held today ahead of Sheffield United FA cup clash on sunday, Thomas Tuchel could not help but express his happiness about being drawn with Porto.
The German gave two reasons why he is happy with the quarter final draw.
The first reason stated was that he was happy Chelsea has avoided the remaining two English clubs left in the competition.
Although Chelsea might play against Liverpool in the Semi-finals, Chelsea will not meet Manchester City until the finals, if both teams could scale through.
He also stated that it feels good and he is happy to drawn at home in the second leg of the quarter finals. He highlighted that it was a “slight advantage”.
