Borussia Dortmund winger Julian Brandt have being heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this January.
The Gunners are reported to be on a search to land a creative attacking midfielder and one of the names at the top of their list is Julian Brandt.
Given his price tag being just around £25million, Arsenal were expected to cash in on the Brandt.
But Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc have come out in a recent interview to deny such rumours.
In his words, he said:
“A name is constantly being mentioned that actually doesn’t play a role in our deliberations at the moment. That should come to an end,
“I can only repeat; there is not even the slightest bit of anything on the table.
“We can’t do anything if rumours are constantly being spread that are not true.
“Basically, we would of course deal with each situation individually. Even against an economic background that is not rosy due to the pandemic situation.
“There is currently nothing on the table that we should even consider.”
Another player that was also heavily linked with a transfer to Arsenal this January was Norwich’s Emi Buendia.
That link have now crashed after The Daily Express reported that Norwich have decided they will not sell Buendia this month.
However, Bild reporter Christian Falk has thrown in a new name for January as he reported Arsenal are now linked with a transfer for PSG’s Julian Draxler.
