Chelsea travel to face Juventus in their second champions league game tomorrow.
Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel was speaking to the media about a couple of hours ago and the gaffer has provided some fitness updates on his squad.
The major breaking news is that midfielder N’golo Kanté has tested positive for Covid-19 and he’s set to miss tomorrow’s game as well as the premier league game against Southampton on Saturday.
The Blues will also be without right wing-back, Reece James who got injured in the first half of the one nil loss to Manchester City on Saturday. Tuchel has confirmed that the English defender will be out for a “minimum of one week”.
Also missing in action will be Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount with the former remaining out with an ankle injury he sustained on international duty with the United States since early September.
Mason Mount meanwhile missed Chelsea’s last game against Man City with what Tuchel called a “minor injury” and was expected to be fit for the trip to Juventus but he’s now been ruled out and no date has been provided on his return as well as Pulisic’s.
Apart from Kanté, Mount, James, and Pulisic, Chelsea have no fresh injury issues heading into tomorrow’s game against Juventus.
