Team News: Solskjaer hints on changes, reveals 2 more players that will feature against West Ham

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was speaking to the media ahead of his sides third round carabao cup fixture against West Ham tomorrow and the manager has hinted on making some changes to the side that beat the same opponent in the Premier League on Sunday.

Solskjaer has revealed that Alex Telles who recently returned to full fitness would play a part in the game and young prospect Anthony Elanga would also be involved. The Norwegian however did not reveal whether he’d hand these players starts like he did in regards to Lingard.

Solskjaer on Elanga: “Anthony was terrific in pre-season – his attitude, his enthusiasm, his directness. I love to see players like this.”

Solskjaer on Elanga: “He was disappointed not to travel down to West Ham [for Sunday’s Premier League game] but he scored for the Under-23s and now he’s ready. He’ll be involved in the squad [tomorrow]”

Solskjaer on Telles: : “Alex has worked well and will be in the squad [against West Ham] as well.”

Solskjaer also revealed that there are no fresh injury concerns. Recall in his previous pre-match press conference, he revealed the return to full fitness of Alex Telles and Scott McTominay and also the return to training of Marcus Rashford.

In summary, Solskjaer has the same players that were available on Sunday available for tomorrow’s game but the gaffer is expected to make some rotational changes.

Solskjaer: “We lost nobody on Sunday so it’s the same squad or same pool of players to choose from. We know it’s early on in the season and some players need minutes to get their proper fitness up so I will make a few changes.”

Man Utd reached the semi-final of last seasons carabao cup but lost to eventual champions Man City and the Red devils would be looking to better that run this time around.
