Tammy Abraham reveals why Chelsea new signings have struggled so far this season

With almost halfway into the Premier League season, a host of Chelsea new signings have being struggling with form since signing for the Blues.

Chelsea had a really busy summer window in 2020, signing six first team players and spending in excess of £200million in the process.

Some of the Blues new acquisition have been struggling real hard for form lately.

Timo Werner and Kai Havertz are the two signings who have failed to meet the expectations set for them.

Werner and Havertz both signed for Chelsea from Bundesliga clubs for about £50million and £70million respectively.

Kai Havertz recent drop in form might be explainable given he got infected by coronavirus sometime during the season.

Frank Lampard has recently backed the 21-year-old saying he is suffering from post effects of the disease.

The Blue’s number 9 has revealed it’s completely normal for players that transfer from foreign countries to take more time to adapt to the Premier League.

Tammy Abraham thinks both of Chelsea’s new acquisition will come good and has backed them to pick form anytime soon.

The Englishman while speaking to the club’s official website  said:

“We have hardly had any time to train together and to work out how each other play so we’re just taking every day as it comes at the moment.

“Every game we play, we’re learning new things about each other. I’m starting to understand them more and they’re starting to understand me more so hopefully we drive each other and be the best we can be.”

The blues face Morecambe FC next in the FA cup. Both Tammy Abraham and Kai Havertz will be hoping to feature given they haven’t be consistent in the starting lineup in quite a while.

Werner will be expected to be completely rested or even left out of the match day squad as he is likely to be handed his much needed rest.
