REVEALED: How Chelsea owner Abramovich plan to reward Thomas Tuchel for winning the Champions League

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich made physical contact with the Club’s first team manager Thomas Tuchel for the first time yesternight after the Blues emerged victorious against Manchester City.

The Blues plan on rewarding the German coach for his short term success at the club – Winning the Champions League and top 4 finish.

According to recent reports from The Guardian, Chelsea plan to reward Tuchel by handing him an extension to 2023 with the option of a further year.

Thomas Tuchel joined in January as a free agent, few months after he was sacked by PSG. The German coach signed a one and a half year contract with the Blues until 2022.

While many thought the length of the initial contract was short, Tuchel wasn’t moved by the contract length as he was confident to make the most out of it.

When asked about a possible new contract in a post-match interview after last night’s UCL win, Tuchel said:

“I am not even 100% sure maybe I have already a new contract now.”

“My manager said something about it. Let’s check this first. I spoke to the owner right now on the pitch. It was the best moment for the first meeting. It can only get worse! We will speak tomorrow. We will speak later. I will stay hungry for the next title.” Tuchel continued.

“My desire is for more victories ands to grow as a coach. It would be nice to meet him a bit closer. We are in contact. Now it’s nice to meet him.” He concluded.
