Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has bad news for Arsenal fans as he revealed in his recent interview that it will be really difficult for Arsenal’s duo Bukayo Saka and Kieran Tierney to feature against Wolves tonight.
Both Tierney and Saka are nursing injury problems minor injury problems.
Saka was pictured in first team training yesterday, but it seems very unlikely that he will be a part of the squad this evening.
Mikel Arteta has, however, admitted that although it seems very unlikely for both players to feature, he will wait until the last minute before ruling out the pair.
“We don’t know yet [if they’ll return]. Today we’ve got a training session and they haven’t been able to train with us yet, so I think it will be really difficult for them,” Arteta said.
“But I don’t know, we’re going to try to last-minute see how they are feeling.”
Arsenal later confirmed on their official website last night that Tierney would be out of contention against Wolves.
That news comes as a blow to the Gunners, as they now look short of options at left-back.
That role was played by Cedric in Arsenal’s last game against Southampton and the defender could be set to start in that role again against Wolves.
