It promises to be a pulsating encounter on Saturday as Southampton would also be looking to get all 3 points at the bridge.

The Blues lost their last premier league game at home to Man City before losing away to Juventus in the champions league on Wednesday and Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has admitted that his players have suffered from mental fatigue.
Chelsea though sit in third position on the premier league log, just one point off table toppers Liverpool after losing just one league game this season. Hence, the blues would be positive heading into Saturday’s game.
Southampton meanwhile are in 16th position and also lost their last premier league game at home to Wolves and a win against Chelsea would be their first win of the season after drawing four times and losing twice in their first six matches.
Chelsea have received a key injury boost heading into the weekend as Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the availability of Mason Mount for the game against Southampton.
But the Blues are still without N’golo Kanté and Reece James who have both been ruled out through Covid-19 and Injury respectively. No update was provided on Christian Pulisic.
Southampton meanwhile would be without Jack Stephens who is their only injury concern as Stuart Armstrong has returned to first team training for the Saints.
Chelsea loanee Armando Broja would also be unavailable for the Saints due to his ineligibility to face his parent club.

Both sides would be heading into this one very positive. Chelsea the home side have got superior quality on paper but Southampton coach Ralph Hasenhüttl has never lost a game at Stamford Bridge as he’s drawn twice and won once on Chelsea’s home ground.
