According to recent reports, Chelsea board are still contemplating Lampard sack and have reportedly held an interview with one of Frank Lampard’s potential replacement Massimiliano Allegri.

Chelsea were the biggest spenders in England last summer, signing six first team players and spending in excess of £200million in the process.

The blues have being on a bad form of late, winning just one of their last six premier League games.

Multiple reports have now been circulating during the past few days that Frank Lampard will be shown the exit door if result do not improve in coming matches.

Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is one of the big name coaches linked to the manager role at Stamford Bridge if Frank Lampard gets sacked.

A new report from the Daily Mail have now stated that Allegri has already been interviewed by Chelsea board and is already in line to replace Lampard.

A time frame of when the interview was held wasn’t specified in the article. It is possible the interview was held in 2019 when Sarri left the club.

For now, Chelsea are still backing Frank Lampard. They know sacking a club legend might upset supporters and it’s still very early in the season.

The Blues face Morecambe in the FA cup next this Sunday and they will be looking to use that game in gathering momentum.
