It’s been one week into the January transfer window and the Chelsea have being very quiet in terms of transfers.
The reverse was the case last summer, which saw Chelsea spend in excess of £200million on transfers bringing in six first team players in the process.
This includes big money moves for players like Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.
The Blues were expected to cool down on incomings this January and try to clear out the extra deadwoods in the squad.
So far so good, Chelsea have had a very quiet transfer window in terms of incomings as well as outgoings.
Though it remains common knowledge that Chelsea are very keen in landing English International midfielder Declan Rice, the Blues are still yet to place a bid for the West Ham star.
Chelsea were also linked recently with a move for Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Haaland, but that rumour has failed to hold water ever since.
The first deal Chelsea are looking forward to completing in coming days is the sale of Brazilian winger, Lucas Piazon.
The winger who has been at Chelsea since 2011, looks set to leave the club on a permanent basis this January.
The 26-year-old have being at Chelsea for 10 years and has been sent on loan to seven different clubs during that time.
And now according to Goal, three clubs – whose names has been withheld – are in talks with Chelsea over signing Piazon on permanent basis.
The winger also sees his contract at the club expiring in six months time and Chelsea will be looking to sell to gather as much profit as they can for the winger.
