According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are not willing to pay the transfer fund over Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho.
The 21-year-old is one of the best young players in the world and has enhanced his reputation at the Westfalenstadion. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to sign him and has identified the player as his top priority this summer.
It had been reported recently that a bid for Sancho was near and despite Dortmund’s willingness to sell, the final move for Sancho to United is yet to be made.
While the Red Devils are determined, they also remain wary of being defrauded. If anything, the previous campaign has shown that United lack the reinforcements needed to make a sustained effort to challenge at the top.
While United have gone big in the past, a lot of money has been expended on the wrong players. It appears to be clouding the club’s thoughts when it comes to landing Sancho.
However, Dortmund have made it clear that they are accepting to sell the player for €80m. Even with the price well known, why ‘United feel they could be defrauded’ is a ‘huge surprise’.
