Man United might likely go for Sergio Reguilon’s alternative as its becomes clearer they can’t land the Los Blancos left Back.
Ole Solskjaer of course indicated strong interest in Reguilon but according to recent reports, the Red Devils might not be successful in landing the 23-year-old.
Moving to United for Reguilon would mean totally cutting ties with Real Madrid, which isn’t what he wants anytime soon.
It’s believed that Regulon has grown up supporting the Spanish side and is determined to have a major career at the club before leaving, if he has to. Leaving on a permanent deal would clearly destroy every chances of this happening.
Man United are in for a long term deal which won’t favor Reguilon’s Los Blancos dreams, unless the Red Devils would accept to offer having him on loan.
The Madrid born has reportedly been handed a 4-year offer but its unlikely he will take it, as he would prefer heading back to Sevilla on loan until there is space for him back at Santiago Bernabeu.
Reguilon is available in the market for €30m, an amount United can easily cash in for a player of his qualities.
With all been said, United might be considering turning to the closest and cheapest alternative to Reguilon as reports link Porto man to the Old Trafford side.
Alex Telles is in the final months of his contract at Porto and having netted 24 goals from 194 appearances, as well as numerous assists from the left-back, the 27-year-old would be eyeing a move to a better-than-Porto club.
United have been on the contact list for the star defender and its reported he has refused to take extension offers handed by the Portuguese side.
Porto are under pressure to sell him at this time so as to avoid losing him for free in the next 10months, having set a price tag of €20m for Telles. €10m short their initial tag.
It’s more likely United would move in for Telles should a deal for Reguilon fall off.
