It was a surreal transfer window this summer with top clubs and top players being involved in some of the most historic transfer activities of all time.
One of the notable players who made a big move this summer is Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian striker made a sensational return to former club Chelsea and has immediately hit the ground running with a goal and a man of the match performance in two games.
It took Lukaku just 15 minutes into his second debut to register his first goal for the club against Arsenal in a match that saw the Blues beat the Gunners 2-0 at the Emirates.
It was definitely a debut to remember for Lukaku as he won the man of the match award after holding the entire Arsenal defense to ransom throughout the game.
Romelu Lukaku recently spoke in an interview with HLN on his return to the premier league and he openly expresses his love for Chelsea like he’s always done.
While speaking though he cheekily aimed a dig at former club Manchester United by implying that his time at the club was “sh**t”
“When Chelsea made their third offer I knew it was serious and I was no longer with my head in Milan. Chelsea offered €110m plus Zappacosta, but Inter said no. So I told Inzaghi: Inter pulled me out of shit but I wanna leave only because of Chelsea”
Recall that Romelu Lukaku was heavily criticized at Manchester United for his poor first touch and weight and the Belgian was sold to Inter Milan after scoring 42 goals in 96 appearances for the Red devils.
