Chelsea are currently in talks with German centre-half Antonio Rudiger over a new deal.
According to reports, Chelsea are currently “sweating” over meeting a new deal with the 28 year old as they’ve up until this point failed to come to an agreement with Rudiger.
According to German based journalist, Christian Falk, Antonio Rudiger wants Chelsea to double his current wages. The defender currently earns around 100k per week, so if Chelsea agrees his demands, his wages would go up to 200k per week.
The Telegraph meanwhile reports that Chelsea have offered to increase Rudiger’s wages to 140k per week, an offer which Rudiger has rejected.
Currently, top European clubs are reportedly lurking to snap up Rudiger peradventure he fails to agree a new with Chelsea. The names being mentioned are PSG and Real Madrid and these clubs are ready to double Rudiger’s wages.
Antonio Rudiger has grown to be one of the best defenders in the world and he is currently one of the most important players at Chelsea. Something he showed by helping Chelsea to the UEFA Champions League and the Super Cup.
Rudiger has carried that form into the season and he has been very impressive in all of Chelsea’s game this season and last night’s UCL game against Zenit was just a testament of a defender at his peak.
Toni Rudiger is certainly a defender no club would want to lose and every club would want to get.
