Chelsea manager, Frank Lamaprd has provided an update on Fikayo Tomori being linked to Everton.
According to recent reports its been believed that Tomori would likely be heading out to Everton following the arrival of Thiago Silva from Paris Saint German.
The English man has been rumored to be linked with a loan move to Everton where he would be assured of proper play time than Chelsea.
Following the recent interview held minutes back by the Chelsea manager, Fikayo Tomori might likely be staying back at Stamford Bridge as the player still remains a part of Frank Lampard’s project.
Lampard disclosed that no talks have been opened between Chelsea and Everton concerning Tomori, not even to talk of leaving Stamford Bridge.
“I am not aware of a Fikayo conversation getting anywhere near that. He trained with us today and is in contention [for Brighton]” Frank Lampard said.
Although days back, Tomori disclosed that there isn’t a loan deal under work yet for him as claimed by sources.
Meanwhile, according to goal, its believed Everton are interested in the player but haven’t contacted Chelsea for his servies.
The defender recently got a new jersey number after losing his number 29 to Kai Havertz. Tomori is the Chelsea new number 14.
Lampard adds on Tomori “there is nothing specific he needs to improve, he just needs to work hard. He then explains that young players in general should raise their levels when the club brings in new quality signings.”
The manager went on to share insights on his new signings after a very succesful transfer summer business with the Blues landing Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.
“We were joined up in the business we wanted to do. Hopefully we did it in a good way, we should be excited with a word of caution to get them settled into the team as soon as possible. The work starts now.”
