New Chelsea striker, Timo Werner has disclosed how Frank Lampard has made the Chelsea squad worthy of competing against Manchester City and Liverpool.

The 24-year-old shared that Frank Lampard has already instilled a lot into him and his new teammates in quests to war competitions from the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

Having arrived Stamford Bridge for a £47.5m fee, Werner has shown prospect after he found the back of the net on his debut game.

“The work with the manager recently has been really good,” Werner said to Chelsea’s official website.

“He’s been showing and explaining to the whole team, not just me, what we can do on the pitch and how to improve on last season.

Werner is already enjoying life in London after his super scoring season at Leipzig earned him a move to the English land.

“I know the way from my home to the training ground now, so that’s good!” he said.

“That’s important, knowing your way around your new surroundings and we have also trained at the stadium so now I know my way to Stamford Bridge also.
