It’s no longer news that “which club will Haaland move to?” is the biggest transfer speculation for the coming summer window.
The 20-year-old striker is the hottest youngster currently and it could be time he moves on to a bigger stage in his career.
The Norwegian International now has 33 goals in 31 appearances for Dortmund this season, making him one of the most prolific goal scorers across Europe.
Dortmund signed Haaland from Salzburg in January 2020 for a bargain of £19.5million due to his release clause and have now put a price tag of €150million on the striker.
Haaland still has three years on his Dortmun contract remaining and is not in a hurry to decide about the next stage of his career.
However, Dortmund may be keen to cash in now on Haaland rather than the summer of 2022 where his £64million release clause becomes active.
It is rumoured that Haaland’s most likely destination is England and there are four clubs in the Premier League who will be willing to break the bank for Haaland.
Two of these clubs are Chelsea and Manchester United, who are both having striker problems.
Olivier Giroud’s contract is set to expire in the summer and Chelsea are on a search to find the most appropriate long term replacement for the Frenchman.
One name who is at the top of their shortlist is no other than Erling Braut Haaland. It is further rumoured Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic has given the go ahead for Chelsea to go all out for the Norwegian in the summer.
Manchester United on the other hand are equally looking for a long term fit for the number 9 role following Martial’s recent dip in form and Cavani’s old age.
Meanwhile Haaland has made it clear to Chelsea and others what they must do to sign him.
While speaking in an interview while on international duty Haaland said: “They must want me.”
“I still have three years of contract. I am not upset about that.”
