Thomas Tuchel is likely to revert to default as Chelsea go into tonight’s game looking for a win as well as keeping a clean sheet in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Porto at Stamford Bridge.
Minus Saturday’s woeful 5-2 defeat against lowly West Brom which ended the German’s 14-game unbeaten start as head coach, the Blues have looked defensively solid.
Heading up into the game, manager Thomas Tuchel has been handed a triple injury boost.
Kante, who picked up an injury while on international duty last month, and Christian Pulisic who was injured in the last game against West Bromwich Albion, as well as Tammy Abraham are all fit and available for selection.
This occurrence, although good, might cause little problems in terms of selection tonight for Thomas Tuchel.
With everyone fit and ready to start, Chelsea are expected to stick to their usual 3-4-3 default formation which has been used by Tuchel.
Predicted Chelsea XI against Porto: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Rudiger; Chilwell, Jorginho, Kante, Hudson-Odoi; Mount, Havertz, Werner.
