According to recent reports from Sky Sports, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering a surprise return for former Chelsea boss Avram Grant to assist Frank Lampard.
The 65-year-old spent the 2007-08 campaign in the Stamford Bridge dugout but was ultimately sacked after one season despite leading the Blues to an EFL Cup and Champions League final.
Grant has recently been working as a football consultant in India. His last prominent job was as a technical director for Indian Super League club North East United.
Avram Grant has been in management since the 1970s and his long list of clubs also include Chelsea, whom he managed in the 2007/08 season. The Blues did really well under him during that campaign despite not winning a trophy.
And now he could make a surprise return back to Stamford Bridge.
Reports are stating that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic is considering bringing back their former employee to become a member of Frank Lampard backroom staff.
There is no doubt Avram Grant will be a good addition to the team, as he adds experience to the team both on and off the pitch.
Chelsea have dropped to 9th in the Premier League table after just one win from their last 5 league games.
