According to new reports from Goal, another loan move is almost been finalized for long forgotten Chelsea defender Baba Rahman.
The left back last featured for Chelsea in May 2016 against Leicester, after having made 23 appearances for the club in that 2015-16 season.
He has since spent his time on loan at three different clubs playing for Stade Reims, Schalke, and RCD Mallorca consecutively in the past four and a half seasons.
The Ghanaian defender could leave the London club again this month for the rest of the season, with two clubs reportedly being interested in the left back.
Rahman failed to secure a move out of Chelsea in the summer after coming back from his loan spell at RCD Mallorca. He has since played three games for Chelsea U-23 team.
Further reports also stated that the 26-year-old will be searching for a permanent transfer out of Chelsea after several loan moves.
Obviously he would love to play for Chelsea, but given that Frank Lampard is currently not short of left back options, that wouldn’t be a good option.
And given he is 26-year-old, he will be wanting regular first team football. So staying at Chelsea isn’t an option.
