EXPLAINED! Why does Werner keep missing sitters? How Tuchel can solve it

Following his recent miss against Real madrid that would have gotten chelsea the advantage Squakwa football used Artificial intelligence to dig into the reason why Timo Werner have been a victim of so many missed chances ever since he joined chelsea from Rb lepzig.

A player once courted by real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and eventually gotten by Chelsea FC have overnight turned into a worrisome flop who misses easy chances at Goal.

Werner from the analytical video from Artificial intelligence above have only scored 5 goals from open play this season and has missed as many as 21 chance at goal.

How to Solve Werner Goal Scoring Problem

Under Julian nagelsmann Werner witnessed his most prolific season where he scored 34 goals and gave 13 assists in 45 appearances.

Julian implemented a double pivot system that involved two strikers Yussuf poulsen who effectively complemented Werner Ariel inability and hold up strength.

The presence of poulsen enabled Werner do what he was best at (running behind Defenses centrally and scoring goals).

Under Lampard Werner was used in an entirely different position to what he played, Frank turned him into a winger with fans expecting results of a main number 9 from him, something that was unlikely to ever happen as all he was able to effectively focus on was running wide and crossing the ball (something Werner has never been good at).

Luckily Tuchel came and turned Werner to what we knew him to be before chelsea went all out for him during his time with Leipzig.

Tuchel made him a number 10 just behind a hold up Striker (Abraham) that didn’t work too well as Abraham isn’t that Yussuf poulsen kind of Striker. Abraham is focused on taking shots at goal and not a hold up type of Striker.

Tuchel also tried pairing him to a typical Yussuf poulsen kind of Striker in Olivier Giroud but still didn’t work too effectively as Giroud has never been known to keep up with pace or give sublime passes that would lead to a goal.

Editors pick

Pairing Werner with Havertz is all chelsea need to get the best off Werner. Yes Havertz have been a total disappointment more than Werner himself, we know that but Havertz has the characteristics of a Yussuf poulsen kind of player and is even an improved version.

Christian Pulisic that many thought would not really perform in such an intense encounter turned out to be the man that saved the match for chelsea.
