Romelu Lukaku however reiterates that he shouldn’t be compared with Cristiano Ronaldo as he believes that the five time ballon d’or winner is one of the top three best footballers in the world.

Since Lukaku made his return to Chelsea, he has been on fantastic form for both club and country as the former Nerazzurri striker has scored four goals in four games for Chelsea and Belgium.

Cristiano Ronaldo who completed his switch back to Manchester United on transfer deadline day has been tipped to make his debut against Newcastle after the Portuguese forward completed his mandatory quarantine as a result of his participation in Portugal’s world cup qualifier games.

However, former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent believes that Romelu Lukaku will outscore Cristiano Ronaldo, the 37 year old claims that Romelu Lukaku is the central of Chelsea’s attack while Ronaldo won’t be burdened with goalscoring responsibilities owing to the fact that Manchester United have goalscorers in the team to ease the pressure on Ronaldo.

He said, “I’m going to say Lukaku [to score more].

“I look at Chelsea and the goals that they get, a lot of those are going to come through Lukaku.

“But with United and Ronaldo, Mason Greenwood is going to chip in with some. So will Bruno Fernandes and Rashford when he comes back. Ronaldo might not play as much, whereas Lukaku will always start.

“You look at Lukaku and Chelsea bought him for a purpose. He has to play, he was the missing piece of the jigsaw for me. That centre forward role.

“Listen, I think Ronaldo will get goals, I have no doubt about that, but I think Lukaku… well, he’s 1-0 up already.”

Cristiano Ronaldo will look forward to making his second debut when Manchester United clashes with Newcastle in the Premier League this weekend while Romelu Lukaku will aspire to make his second Stamford Bridge debut when Chelsea go head to head against Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend.
