Following Chelsea’s most recent 2020 summer transfer spending spree, the London giants are showing eagerness to spend big again.
The Blues spent in excess of £200million during last summer. This saw the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell make big money moves to the club.
Despite recent report of Frank Lampard being under pressure due to recent form, the Englishman is still looking forward to adding West Ham midfielder Declan Rice to his squad.
Frank Lampard have always being a fan of the 21-year-old midfielder. It is reported that the English midfielder is a big part of his long-term project at Chelsea.
Declan Rice is currently valued at around £80million price by his parent club, but Chelsea will be looking to pay a much lower amount than that if they’re to sign the Englishman.
It is believed agreeing personal terms with Declan will not be an issue. Declan recently switched agents and is now represented by his father who is a Chelsea fan and a season ticket holder at Stamford Bridge.
Recent report from TalkSport is stating that Chelsea will be looking to sell four fringe players to fund a move a Declan Rice.
Danny Drinkwater, Jorginho, Marcos Alonso and Tiemoue Bakayoko are the four players Chelsea are looking to offload to fund Declan Rice move.
Jorginho and Marcos Alonso are the only two players in the first team sheet who could leave.
Marcos Alonso – who have now dropped to third choice left back at the club – will even be wanting a move out of the club to revive his career more than the Chelsea.
Meanwhile Tiemoue Bakayoko is currently on a season long loan at Napoli.
While Danny Drinkwater, despite being a Premier League winner years ago now plays for Chelsea’s development squad.
