Inter Milan’s CEO Beppe Marotta has given his verdict on Lukaku’s transfer saga as he believes that Lukaku is untouchable and he is not ready to sanction a deal.
However, Inter’s financial status still needs balancing and with Inter Milan finding it difficult to cash in on Lautaro Martinez, they might be forced to part ways with Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea have seen a whooping sum of €100m plus Alonso rebuffed by the Nerazzurri and they (Chelsea) are ready to launch a new bid for the Congolese descent Belgian striker.
Romelu Lukaku who scored a total of 64 goals whilst rendering 16 assists for Inter Milan across all competitions is also reported to be considering his options, as he and his agent deem Chelsea’s offer too good to be rejected.
Chelsea hierarchy switched their focus to Romelu Lukaku after several efforts to convince Borussia Dortmund to sell Erling Haaland proved futile.
Chelsea are desperately on the hunt for a new striker after the profligacy showcased by their attackers in front of goal on several occasions. This has made them switch their attention to Romelu Lukaku following Erling Haaland’s transfer failure.
Inter Milan has however stated that they will consider selling Romelu Lukaku if Chelsea meets their valuation of €120m.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea will meet up with this valuation or find a loophole to acquire the signature of the former Manchester United star.
