Chelsea striker agrees 2-year contract with Juventus

Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud has been linked to a move out of Stamford Bridge with Juventus at the other end.

Chelsea have three strikers left to squad after loaning Michy Batshuayi to Crystal Palace yesterday. A popular name is about to leave the squad again.

The former Arsenal man having netted 13 goals in 58 appearances for the Blues, Olivier Giroud is set to try out his fate in the Italian Serie A.

According to reports, the Frenchman has already agreed to a 2-year-contract term with the Old Lady and set for the move to Turin.

The France international and World Cup winner has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons at Stamford Bridge, having arrived from rivals Arsenal in January 2018.

Since he arrived in London in 2012, the 33-year-old has enjoyed prolific success, with four FA Cup triumphs and a Europa League title to his name between the two clubs.

The two-year contract would see Giroud earn €9m excluding bonuses. SkyItalia claims that Chelsea want €5m in order to allow him to depart. Juve at the moment see him as an option because they have had setbacks in attempts to sign Edin Dzeko (AS Roma) and Luis Suarez (Barcelona), but do not appear to have made a formal offer to the London club for him yet.
