The international break has come to an end with players now focused on club football which resumes 2 days from now.
The last games of the international window were played last night and Chelsea have been dealt a huge blow as one of their key players, Christian Pulisic got injured while on international duty for the United States.
The USMNT captain has already missed the last 2 premier league games for Chelsea due to Covid-19 and a the Blues were hoping the international break would help give the American a much needed match fitness pending his return to action for the club.
The extent of the injury to Christian Pulisic isn’t quite clear yet but it has been confirmed as an ankle injury by the USMNT coach.
USA coach Gregg Berhalter on Pulisic’s injury:
“Christian has a slight ankle injury. We’re going to get more info on it when he goes back to London, the severity of it.”
Christian Pulisic was on target for Chelsea in their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on opening day and both player and club would be hoping that the injury is not serious enough to keep him out of action for too long.
