Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia is set to sell one of Chelsea’s most important players and key performers against the wishes of Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel.
Antonio Rudiger has grown to be almost indispensable at Chelsea since Thomas Tuchel arrived in January and he showed that with his solid performance against Zenit St. Petersburg in the champions league last night.
Rudiger is in the final year of his contract with talks still ongoing for a contract extension. Meanwhile, Chelsea are interested in signing French defender Jules Kounde from Sevilla and after a failed move for the 22 year old in the summer, Chelsea are reportedly interested in going again when the winter transfer window opens in January.
According to La Colina de Nervion, Marina Granovskaia may sanction a sale for Antonio Rudiger in the January transfer window in other to fund a move for top target Jules Kounde and this would be against the wishes of manager Thomas Tuchel who sees Rudiger as a very important member of his squad.
Antonio Rudiger at the age of 28 is in his prime and he’s one of the best defenders in Europe right now. If Chelsea eventually decide to sell him, the German would not be short of suitors with PSG and Real Madrid already lurking for his services.
