Chelsea best stopper Eduoard Mendy, already keen to set all time record in the Champions League final when he play against Manchester City

Chelsea will face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final today’s evening – 29 May – at Porto.

However, the Chelsea team were anxious when  Eduoard Mendy sustained an injury against in the Blues last campaign game for the Premier League top four position last Sunday against Aston Villa.

The goalkeeper had an issue with his right rib when he hit his right side hard on the post when he failed to stop Traore’s opener for Villa. He seemed very much in pain as he layer down holding his right side.

Mendy was immediately replaced by Kepa in the remaining minutes of the game. Thomas Tuchel after the match gave a report of the medical condition of Mendy and it seemed he was looked really down as the team and fans expected his return in the Champions League final.

The Senegalese International showed up in the team’s training at Cobham the next day though he didn’t train much, he showered a huge relief on the Blues – players and fans – as he was pretty good enough for the final.

Now, the keeper is now on the team squad for the Champions League final against Manchester City.
