According to recent reports from the Daily Mail, Chelsea and Arsenal are set to battle it out for outshining Turkish teenage striker Ali Akman.
Akman, who plays for Bursaspor in the Turkish second division, has been in prolific form this season, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists in just 16 league appearances.
Primarily a striker, Akman can also play on both wings, making him a very skillful and versatile player.
The young Turkish International made his senior debut at the beginning of the 2019-20 season, and has 42 professional appearances already.
He has since continued to impress with his pace and skills and is now looking at taking his career to the next level.
The teenager has just six months remaining in his contract at Bursaspor and it’s reported that he is not intending to sign a new contract at the club.
Akman is being linked with a move out of Turkey this year and that move could happen as soon as this January.
According to recent reports, Chelsea and Arsenal are in a severe race to land the teenager this January.
It is further reported that his parent club Bursaspor will be willing to accept a fee as low as £3million for the striker as his contract will be up in the summer.
Alongside Chelsea and Arsenal, RB Salzburg and Galatasaray are also said to be interested in signing the youngster, with the latter two supposedly already making offers.
It is further reported that there is also competition from unnamed clubs in Italy, France and Germany.
