According to reports, contract talks between Chelsea and Antonio Rudiger have not been going smoothly.
Rudiger’s contract expires at the end of the season and talks have been ongoing over a new contract. Chelsea have reportedly offered to pay £140, 000 per week but the German defender is holding out for a £200,000 per week contract.
Antonio Rudiger has grown to be one of the most important players at Chelsea and one of the best defenders in the premier league and this was shown in his performance against Tottenham on Sunday as he scored an kept a clean sheet for the Blues in an emphatic 3-0 over their city rivals.
The Standard are reporting that talks over Rudiger’s contract renewal have not been going smoothly with Chelsea and Bayern Munich have joined a list of clubs monitoring the 28 year old’s contract situation.
Real Madrid are said to be the leading candidates with PSG also being mentioned as one of the clubs eyeing the German defender.
Antonio Rudiger would be free to enter a pre-contract agreement with any interested club if he falls to reach an agreement with Chelsea before January.
Chelsea are meanwhile interested in keeping Rudiger and coach Thomas Tuchel has expressed his admiration and intention to keep working with the player.
