Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed in his recent presser that the club will witness a very busy January window.
The January window reopened today and it seems Arsenal fans will have a very exciting January following Arteta’s recent press conference.
Arsenal are currently sitting in 13th on the premier league table after a very disappointing first half of the season.
And the Gunners may have found some motivation to spend as they seem eager to turn their current form around.
“We have a large squad and we knew that. A lot of things that should have happened in the summer, we cannot accomplish for different reasons,” Arteta said.
“There are some players that are going to go on loan and going to leave and that is the priority at the moment.
“We cannot sustain the numbers that we have in certain positions and we are looking to do that, and then we will see if we have the right opportunity in the positions where we need some more help.”
He also made it clear that there are financial constraints still in place at the club.
“Obviously financially, it’s not only us, it’s every club in the Premier League that have been in hit with big numbers,” Arteta continued.
‘We know that this is not going to change in the last year or so. That we are gonna have to add somehow if we’re going to improve the team in different ways financially with some support.
“We will decide whether this is with loans or buying players in relation to the opportunities we will have in the market.”
