Pierre Aubameyang found the back of the net twice as Mesut Ozil stars in Arsenal Aston Villa friendly match.
Arsenal were unfortunate today as Aston Villa ended the 90 minutes with the upper hand with a goal gap despite double from Arsenal captain Pierre Aubameyang.
The game although isn’t definitely going to weigh down Mikel Arteta who is believed to have been testing out his squad as many of the big names were out on National duties.
Similar to same squad he deployed and thrashed out Queens Park Rangers behind closed doors in a 4-3 victory on Tuesday at the club’s London Colney training ground.
Mesut Ozil got a chance to star after such a long period missing in action, new signing Willian also had a taste of Gunners game.
Dani Ceballos was as well a partaker of the game too following his return from Santiago Bernabeu in less than 24 hours ago. He will have more time to prepare now ahead of Gunners EPL clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage on September 12.
Aston Villa opened the scoreline when Douglas Luiz goal created better reasons for Pierre Aubameyang’s equalizer which caused the first 45 minutes to end on a tie.
Into the second half, the Villians picked up the lead again with Jacob Ramsey’s goal that was afterwards equalized by yet again Pierre Aubameyang who unfortunately failed to cancel out the 19-year-old second strike that handed Villa the victory.
