According to recent reports, Arsenal are strongly in the race alongside Liverpool to sign Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.
The Brighton midfielder is having a very impressive Premier League campaign and his good performances have not gone unnoticed among top clubs.
Bissouma has scored one goal in 16 games in the Premier League this season.
The Malian midfielder moved to Brighton from Ligue 1 side Lille in the 2018 summer transfer window.
According to a report by Football London, Liverpool were front-runners to sign Bissouma from Brighton but Arsenal now lead the race to sign the midfielder.
It is further reported that Arsenal will use new signing Thomas Partey to lure Bissouma to the Emirates.
The report further claims that the Gunners are unlikely to sign Bissouma in January because Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has prioritised the signing of a creative midfielder.
Arsenal do have concerns about Bissouma’s poor disciplinary record after earning five yellow cards and red cards in the Premier League this season.
