With just few hours left till the January transfer window closes, tension continues to heat up on which last minute transfer will happen.
One of the most likely deal to happen is Arsenal’s Joe Willock loan move to fellow Premier League side Newcastle.
The loan move is expected to last untill the end of the current season with no viable option to buy.
The midfielder has been associated with Arsenal since he was 4-year-old and was opportuned to have played a part in Arsenal’s first team squad last season.
Arsenal are happy to send the 21-year-old on loan to continue his development, and Newcastle are now in pole position to swoop.
Willock has made just seven league appearances all season but has been an important player in Mikel Arteta’s cup squad.
His last start was in the 2-1 home defeat against Wolves on November 29.
The emergence of Emile Smith Rowe has reduced Willock’s opportunities of regular game time under Mikel Arteta, while Arsenal also signed Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on loan last month.
