Arsenal might have been handed another massive injury blow ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool as one of their most in-form players Martin Ødegaard was pictured rolling in pain in the first half Norway’s Wednesday game against Gibraltar.
The midfielder wore the captain’s armband for his country for the first time, but unfortunately he couldn’t last the whole game as he had to be taken off at half time.
Ødegaard picked up the knock to his ankle at around the 39th minute of the game and initially tried to carry on despite being in pain. However he could not and he signalled to the bench to take him off at half-time.
Patrick Berg was brought on at half-time as his replacement and Norway went on to a 3-0 win against Gibraltar.
The Gunners will take on Liverpool after the International break and could be without the Norwegian midfielder due to injury.
This could be a massive blow to Arsenal as Ødegaard has been one of the club’s key players in recent games.
