Arsenal have been on a poor run of form this season as results have not gone their way in the first 3 premier league games of the season prior to the international break.
Arsenal’s recent form has given rise to questions being asked of current manager Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard has been under pressure of late with many fans calling for his sack and this has given rise to the club reports linking former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte to the Arsenal job.
Antonio Conte is no stranger to o premier league as he won the league title in his first season in charge of Arsenal rivals, Chelsea in 2016/17. The Italian who described himself as a serial winner won the FA Cup for Chelsea in 2018 before he was axed by the club.
Conte parted ways with Serie A champions Inter Milan during the summer and his recent success at the club by winning them their first scudetto in years is a further testament of his pedigree and some Arsenal fans were already envisaging the prospect of him turning their club’s fortunes around.
Contrary to reports however, Antonio Conte has not had any contact or agreement with Arsenal according to an Italian agent close to the gaffer, Federico Pastorello while speaking to sports journalist Freddie Paxton. The agent confirmed that the rumours circulating are “not true” as there have been no official approach from Arsenal
