Manchester United set to announce first signing of the summer as Ajax man completes medical amid £40m move.
The deal which is believed to be around £40m is set to be completed in few days after reports disclosed Donny van de Beek has completed medicals to join United.
De Beek had his medicals today while with the Netherland squad and is expected to head to UK immediately after their national games against Poland and Italy on the September 4th and 7th respectively.
Having followed the midfielder for a reasonable amount of time, United received a major boost when former Goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar confirmed his side will let the 23-year-old leave if only a reasonable offer is tabled for him.
Van de Beek netted 4 goals across 40 games in his side’s wonderful UCL spell that had them evicted a game to the final stage.
Be it as it may, United are definitely going to announce de Beek’s signing before September 13th as Ajax already made known of their intention to finalize deals before the kickoff of the coming season.
According to the Government if de Beek‘s deal is finalized before his national game against Poland and Italy, he will be handed an exemption on sporting grounds just like other EPL players away on duty.
