Following Belgium’s clash against Czech Republic, Romelu Lukaku was ineligible to feature against Belarus as a result of the yellow card he received during Belgium’s three nil defeat of Czech Republic.
However, the Anderlecht academy product claimed that he seems to be having a minor issue with his thigh and provided an update stating that he will have a scan to his thigh before returning to Cobham.
He said, “I’ll have a scan of my thigh first,”
“I am struggling with a minor issue for a while. And then I will return to Chelsea.”
Lukaku who extended his Belgium goal tally to 67 in his 100th cap for the Red Devils has returned to Cobham following fears that the 28 year old striker won’t participate against Aston Villa due to a reported injury to his thigh.
However, Romelu Lukaku has been seen training with his teammates at the club as Chelsea look forward to continuing their strong start to life in the ongoing Premier League campaign against Aston Villa.
Romelu Lukaku training has however given fans across the globe a ray of hope as the former Nerazzurri striker looks sharp, fit and raring to go.
Chelsea’s head coach Thomas Tuchel will give the full update on Friday afternoon’s pre-match press conference.
