The boss was quizzed about a range of topics ahead of Saturday’s game against Liverpool – but two key talking points were Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.
We all know that Bukayo remained with the club during the international break, while Emile played in two of England’s Under-21 games at the European Championship before missing the final game.
Arteta was asked about the latest updates on the two key players?
“Bukayo hasn’t trained with the team yet,” Arteta said.”He’s been doing some individual work.
“We had to pull him out of the England squad, unfortunately. He’s feeling better, but he hasn’t trained with the team yet.
“Emile has some discomfort in his hip and that’s why they decided to keep him out.” – Arteta
Arteta guaranteed talking with doctors if Emile could join the training.
“We will see today how he comes here, we will speak with the doctors and the physios and see if he is available for training tomorrow.” – Arteta
